Ford Performance have announced a stunning looking Limited Edition GT paying homage to the GT40 Mark IV driven by Gurney and Foyt in the 1967 Le Mans. The Heritage Edition GT features a unique interior and exterior colour theme set off with a set of exclusive alloys.
The Heritage Edition GT features a beautiful gloss red finish with white stripes and with an exposed carbon package. Emblazoned on the GT is the Frozen White No.1 celebrating Ford’s famous victory over Ferrari at the 1967 Le Mans. Exclusive 20 inch single forged aluminium wheels in a silver satin finish with black wheel nuts sit under the GT’s arches.
Inside the GT Heritage Edition is just as special featuring new leather trim fitting for the carbon seats with red stitching that carries over to the steering wheel. Satin dark details adorn the interior instrument panel and door cards of the GT. The Ford’s paddle shifts are finished in an agonised grey which just carries on the attention to detail of the Heritage Edition GT.
The First Heritage Edition was a huge success for Ford Performance and its extremely likely that this new version will be no different. The story behind the GT40’s production is one of those stories that will be forever inscribed in automotive history so I’m sure this won’t be the last Heritage Edition we see.
