The Geneva Motor Show is without a doubt he most prestigious motor show in the calendar with appearances from all the major manufacturers including the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bentley to name a few. This years 87th Geneva Motor Show at the Palexpo was no different with a great showing of production cars, super cars and one of Concept cars.
Honda, Nissan, SEAT and a few other manufacturers were displaying there new production models amongst the vast array of vehicles. Undoubtedly the star was the new Honda Civic Type R with its triple exhaust at the rear. Nissan’s new Qashqai with it’s ‘Pro-Pilot’ self driving system was definitely the production car that was bringing future technology to the mass market following Nissan’s three pillars of Intelligent Driving, Intelligent Power and Intelligent Integration.
Overall there were a number of Concept Cars at the Geneva Motor Show however Renault’s 2 seater all electric coupe was definitely the main attraction. With an eye catching design and unique features the Trezor was the best piece of Concept eye candy at the show. However, it wasn’t Renault’s only attempt at creating a unique electric motor. The Renault Zoe e-sport with 456bhp and a 0-62mph in 3.2seconds gives this small electric motor supercar performance.
Our favourite area in the show had to be with Bentley. Despite many manufacturers attempts at creating unique and wonderful displays Bentley were able to show the luxuriousness of the Benltey brand with it’s high end design through the display of the vehicles in their own glasses off area. Displaying the Bentley’s range of colours, interior options and special features such as an integrated Breitling watch on the dashboard they showed why the Bentley earns it’s name as one of the most prestigious luxury cars in the world.
As expected Ford put focus on it’s new 7th Generation Fiesta including that of the new ST line. Flash mobs a plenty as they attracted crowds with their energetic atmosphere. With great lines and amazing wheels the new Fiesta ST with its 1.5 litre turbocharged engine was Fords prime car on display with a rare ‘Rose Gold’ model attracting teen girls everywhere.
Overall the 87th Geneva Motor Show has been a huge success able to attract people from all the over the world displaying some of the best production and performance cars int he world.
