Ahead of next weeks Geneva Motor Show Renault have given us a sneaky peek of its new Alpine sports car, the A11o. Paying homage to the A110 of the 1960s. Although not much information has been released by Renault ahead of the A110s reveal at the Geneva Motor Show, we can undoubtably see that this is one gorgeous car.
1.6litre turbocharged mid-engined light weight sports car with 250bhp.
Although paying homage to the rear engined 1960s A110 the new version will be a mid-engined 1.6litre turbocharged lightweight sports car with over 250bhp, giving a 0-62mph of around 4.5seconds. In fact don’t expect the A110 to weigh anymore than 1,000kg.
At an expected cost of around £50,000 the Alpine A110’s main rivals are likely to be the Porsche Cayman and Alfa Romeo 4C, definitely some top competition against this little French number. The A110 will be a questionable choice against it’s rivals but there is no doubt that this is definitely a looker with some beautiful lines. Renault will be releasing more news on the Alpine A110 at the Geneva Motor Show.
