Recently Ford seem to be releasing so much news on their new releases that they are giving News at Ten a run for their money. This week is no different. It’s been no secret that 2017 is going to be a big year for Ford with the release of it’s facelift Mustang, however, the new 2017 Ford GT is also to hit the streets and Ford have released the its vitals.
The main thing that the GT delivers is power. A lot of it. Over 638bhp from its supercharged V6 with 550lb ft of torque. With a top speed of 216mph the Ford GT leaves the Ferrari 488GTB standing with a subdued 205mph. Ford have also announced that the Ford GT is faster than a Ferrari 458 Speciale around the track. Is this Ford’s attempt at recreating the hype from the GT40’s heyday. The true test will be when the GT is put through its paces on the legendary Nurburgring.

2005 saw the release of the Ford GT raising it from the dead and despite its flaws the 2005 GT was a complete success. It is no doubt that the 2017 GT will be just as successful with such an impressive top speed and immense power.
